CyberFab 2016
Automated Cyber-Environments for Semiconductor Fabrication Data Collection and Analysis (CyberFab) Workshop
May 24, 2016
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Description
The one-day, by-invitation-only workshop will allow material and semiconductor fabrication researchers to learn about distributed materials data cyber-infrastructure tools that are developed or in progress by four major groups, including one based at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The workshop presents an opportunity for detailed discussion between data cyber-infrastructure developers, technologists, researchers, and data users involved in materials science research and new device fabrication. The goal of the workshop is to provide a forum for:
- The cyber-infrastructure groups to present their tools and convey their advantages and the challenges that have been overcome.
- Material science and new device fabrication experts, representing a select community of potential early adopters, to provide feedback and new ideas that can be incorporated in the tools in an interactive manner.
- The attendees to consider becoming a respected cohort of early user testers and, hopefully, becoming future advocates for the deployment of these new tools and capabilities.
Agenda and Speaker Bios
CSL hosted the Automated Cyber-Environments for Semiconductor Fabrication Data Collection and Analysis (CyberFab) Workshop on May 24, which allowed material and semiconductor fabrication researchers to learn about a variety of cyber-infrastructure tools. The group discussed advantages and challenges of new tools, while building a rich collaboration between data cyber-infrastructure developers, technologists, researchers, and data users involved in materials science research and new device fabrication.
